#WinterSkinHeroes

Ah yes, February again. That awkward time, depending on where you live, where it can be both winter and spring within a matter of minutes. As much as I love a good break from bad weather, my skin is singing another story. If you know me, you know I LOVE skincare (probably more than makeup) and recently I have been using a regime that is saving my skin from ultimate disaster. Need I say more? Let’s get right to it.

  1. Beauty Bio Micro-needle System

This set (linked above) was a gift I received this holiday season and I am OBSESSED with the results. Originally, I intended to use this system for the major anti-aging and anti-wrinkle benefits. I really wanted to up the flow of collagen to my face, and this set is doing just the trick. It came complete with facial prep pads, the micro-needling tool, a nightly filling serum and a moisture rich cream. The micro-needling tool acts to “air-rate” your skin, leaving very small needle points in your skin. This allows for your serums, toners and any other products to skin all the way through to your skins core, instead of laying dormant on the surface. I feel that I am FINALLY getting the full effect of what my skincare products should have been doing a long time ago.

  2. Obagi Clenziderm System

It’s no secret that I love a good med-spa and the Obagi skincare line is hands down my favorite of all time. I started using the Celnziderm system back in the summer and have used is sporadically ever since. It has a concentrated amount of salicylic acid and menthol, which is going to leave your face feeling like a tight, glowing icebreaker mint. This product is a little strong, so I don’t use it everyday (I have sensitive skin), but I do use it as often as I can because it is a champion at stopping and clearing breakouts! The main product I have been using this season is the benzoyl peroxide lotion. After I use a toner or serum on my face, I back it up with this lotion to help soothe my skin and fight breakouts at the same time.

  3. Obagi Hydrate Luxe Mositure-Rich Cream

When I feel like my skin is EXTRA dry or almost flaky, I run to my shelf to grab this ultra-rich moisturizer. I am telling you guys, this is the most intensive moisturizer I have ever put on my skin. This feels like a burst of thirst quenching goodness that your pores are going to love. My advice? Stick it in the fridge to keep it cool for an added skin bonus.

  4. Hairgenics Lavish Lash Enhancer

This overnight eyelash booster is another great addition to your winter routine. Comparative to Rodan and Fields, this eyelash serum goes on like eyeliner on your top and bottom lashes overnight to boost growth. Best part? It is on Amazon Prime for only $29! Did I also mention you can use it for eyebrows, too?

  5. OMO Jade Roller and Gua Sha Stone
I was skeptical to try the jade roller trend at first, until I found this amazing set from OMO. While the roller is good for blood circulation, the gua sha stone helps with lymphatic drainage and better collagen flow. The roller is a great thing to use while wearing a sheet mask as well! Another tip is to stick both of these in the fridge to give your skin a cooling sensation, adding a little extra de-puffing! Did I mention this is also on Amazon Prime for $20? :)

  6. Glowing Sheet Mask

While the sheet mask that is pictured is no longer available, my best recommendation is the GlamGlow Bubbling Sheet Mask. As with any GlamGlow product, you are going to see immediate results. Your skin looks fresh, bright and even in tone. This is by far the most effective sheet mask that I have used and I purchase it frequently. It is perfect for using before events, prepping your skin, detoxing or simply because its Wednesday.

I hope that my winter skin ritual inspires you to make one of your own! Share your #WinterSkinHeroes with me, because I am always looking for the next best thing to spotlight!

    All the best,

    Em
